We are a locally owned and operated Newcastle-based letting company. We have excellent local knowledge and many years experience of offering high quality, well-maintained properties letting to students and professionals.

Red Ridge offer properties in Heaton, Sandyford, Shieldfield and Gosforth. All are popular with both students and professionals alike owing to their proximity to the city, as well as accessible transport links.
Great prices, great properties
All of our houses are double glazed, with central heating, modern fitted kitchens (most with dishwashers), burglar alarms, phone and broadband connections, double bedrooms, and bathrooms fitted with showers. Most properties come fully furnished, from kitchen white goods to bedroom furniture, and all are reasonably priced!

Professionals
Red Ridge offer both full properties and room-by-room all-inclusive house-shares for professionals, in some of the most popular areas of the City. So whether you have a full group and would like a property to yourselves, or you just want to rent a room in a property – get in touch!
Deposits
Deposit is one month’s rent with a UK homeowner as guarantor. Can’t get a guarantor? Don’t worry! Let us know, and we will contact the landlord to discuss your options!
References
When signing the contract, you’ll need to provide both employment and previous landlord details. All tenancies are subject to satisfactory reference checks.
Contract Length
Our standard contract length is 12 months. If you’d like to remain in the property after the initial 12 months, just get in touch, and we can sort out an extension. Need something a little shorter? Just ask! We may have rooms available where the landlord will accept a shorter tenancy term.
Maintenance
All repairs are reported by email to Red Ridge, and our dedicated team of trade professionals will ensure all required work is carried out as quickly as possible. We even have an out of hours number, where you can report urgent issues on evenings or weekends.
Utilities
All of our room-by-room house-shares include ALL bills, so you don’t need to worry about paying anything but your rent each month! We also offer bills-inclusive packages on a lot of our one and two-bed apartments.
Students
We have a wide range of properties, from one-bed apartments to nine-bed houses, located in some of the most popular student areas in Newcastle. No matter what your specifications are, just let us know, and we will use our expert local knowledge to find the perfect place for you and your friends!
Guarantors
Students renting a property through Red Ridge are required to have a guarantor. The guarantor must be a UK homeowner, and provide photographic ID alongside a completed form in order to guarantee the rent. For more information on guarantors, or to take a look at the guarantor form and obligations, just get in touch.
Rent Payments
Your first month’s rent is required to be paid prior to your move in date. After that, rent can be paid monthly, but most students pay termly when they receive their student loan. For termly payment dates and amounts, drop us an email.
Deposits
Deposit amount is one month’s rent, with a UK homeowner as guarantor. This is protected and held through the Deposit Protection Scheme for the duration of the tenancy.
Maintenance
All repairs are reported by email to Red Ridge, and our dedicated team of trade professionals will ensure all required work is carried out as quickly as possible. We even have an out of hours number, where you can report urgent issues on evenings or weekends.
Safety and Security
All of our properties are frequently inspected to ensure they meet all the necessary regulations. Each one is fully alarmed, and feature double lock front doors. When you move in, we provide all students with a welcome pack, which gives advice on all aspects of keeping your property safe and secure.
Utilities
With most student properties, utilities such as gas and electric are not included in your rent price. We are happy to advise you on how to set up your accounts, and will even recommend some of the best companies! If you’d like to include a bills inclusive option to your price, just ask – we work closely with Unihomes on all-inclusive packages, to ensure the most stress-free student experience.
